James researches, designs and implements customized investment solutions, spanning both hedging and absolute return objectives. He also supports the Strategic Portfolio Management team and develops NISA’s proprietary financial modeling tools. James’s experience spans financial engineering, quantitative modeling and risk management with an emphasis on derivatives markets. Prior to joining NISA in 2013, he worked on the electric and natural gas trading desk of Puget Sound Energy, where he developed hedging strategies in commodity markets.
James earned a B.A. in economics and an M.S. in computational finance and risk management from the University of Washington.
